The Virginia Radiological Society (VRS) strives to improve radiological service to patients and the medical community, positively influence the socio-economics of the practice of radiology, and maintain high medical and ethical standards in the practice of radiology. Society membership is available to physicians who have been certified in a radiological discipline by the American Board of Radiology, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, the Royal College of Physicians or the College des medecins du Quebec, or are engaged in nuclear medicine and have been certified by a specialty board which is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or its Canadian equivalent.
Our Society provides a collegial atmosphere in which to address important practice issues and obtain continuing medical education. Over the years, the Society has dealt with a variety of political challenges having profound implications. In order to effectively meet these and future challenges, a strong and unified voice that represents all of the state’s radiologists is necessary. When we pursue Radiologists’ interests in the halls of the General Assembly during the legislative session, we rely on our member’s active support.
The Society holds an annual meeting late summer which is an excellent way to network with your colleagues from across the Commonwealth and earn CME credits.
