CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Members-in-training are invited to submit abstracts for the 2026 Virginia Radiology Abstract Award, to be presented at the Virginia Radiological Society (VRS) Annual Meeting scheduled for August 1-2, 2026 at the Boar's Head Resort in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Radiology residents are encouraged to submit original research, case reports, or quality improvement projects for consideration. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work, gain statewide recognition, and share ideas with colleagues from across Virginia. All residents are strongly encouraged to participate.

Abstract Award Details:
The selected First Prize winner will present a 10–15 minute synopsis of their research at the Annual Meeting and will receive:
- $1,000 cash prize
- One night’s lodging to attend the meeting
Additional awards include:
- Second Prize: $500
- Third Prize: $250
Second and third prize winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting but will not present.
All trainees who submit an abstract may also present a poster of their work for viewing at the meeting.
Eligibility & Submission Requirements:
- Work must be original or a work-in-progress
- The resident must be the first author
- Submissions must include: title, abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusion
Abstracts will be reviewed and winners selected by a committee appointed by the President of the Virginia Radiological Society.
