2024 ABSTRACT AWARD COMPETITION
Members in training are encouraged to submit abstracts for the upcoming 2024 Virginia Radiology Abstract Award! Submit your abstract HERE.
The deadline for submissions is FRIDAY, MAY 24 at 11:59 PM. The winner will present a short synopsis of their research at the Society’s Annual meeting which will be held AUGUST 3 at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump in Richmond, Virginia. All trainees who submit an abstract for consideration, may share a poster of their work for viewing at the annual meeting.
The research work must be either an original project or a work-in-progress done by the resident and for which the trainee is the first author. The submission should include a title, abstract, introduction, methods, results and conclusion.
The winner will be chosen by a Committee appointed by the President of the Virginia Radiological Society. The First Prize winner will present a short (10-15 minute) synopsis of the research at the annual meeting in August and will receive a $1,000 cash prize, presented at the meeting, as well as one night paid room to attend the annual meeting. There will be a second prize award of $500, and a third prize award of $250. Second and third prize winners will be announced and receive their prizes at the annual meeting but will not make a presentation of their work. All trainees who submit an abstract for consideration may share a poster of their work at the meeting.

2024 BOARD REVIEW COURSE
The Virginia Radiological Society's Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) will host a VIRTUAL Board Review Course on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We are working to line up some of the best attendings in Virginia, who will bring you a case-based rapid review. One hour sections will cover MSK, cardiac, nuclear medicine, interventional, thoracic and neuroradiology. The course is designed to test your CORE knowledge, with a focus on the high yield topics residents tend to understudy. Prior CORE takers have rated this as one of the most productive and beneficial programs available.
